A  Zooming  Technique

Isabelle has always admired the way photographers can
isolate and enhance a subject by making the rest of the
photo soften and blurred.

Isabelle developed a new painting technique where she
isolates the most important part of the painting with texture
and sharpness while the rest is soften to produce a zooming
effect as a photographer would do with his camera.

This unique technique, which Isabelle called "Le Fondu"
creates a very definite tactile quality to her work.  She
deliberately enhance the focus point of her painting using her
palette knife and her brush sculpting the form of her subject.
In this technique, she goes beyond a photographer making it
a three dimensional effect.

A  Blending  Technique

Isabelle has been developing a new blending technique using
different painting knifes and other ustensils.  She has created
new series of Water Reflection, Giverny and Water Lilies
from the scenes of Texas,  Louisiana, and France.

Isabelle blends the colors of the canvas mixing them as it goes
using acrylic paint.  This technique gives a more abstract look
to her paintings.
